Travel Experience: Theme park in Sweden, Liseberg

Hello there!

Here is the second installment of my travel experience.

A theme park located in Gothenburg called Liseberg, quite popular.

It was such a beautiful day. Blue skies, white clouds, not too warm definitely not cold. Perfect weather.

We bought tickets that only allowed us to roam around the theme park and not ride on the rides. Though, we did go on a two rides, the eye and the river rapid ride. I loved the river rapid ride! Meanwhile, I was terrified when we were on the eye. :/

My favourite photo is the last one. 🙂

Travel Experience: A scenic farm in Sweden

Hi there. Hope you’re having a great day. 🙂

I was going through my iPhoto album today, and there was just too much of beautiful photos that I want to share.

Therefore, I decided to share them. Today, it’ll be on a farm that I visited with my family in Sweden.

This will be the first post of my travel experience series. 😀

Initially I want to caption every picture but now that I think of it, a picture is worth a thousand words.

I had so much fun with dandelions, it’s crazy.

Don’t worry, the little lamb is not hurt. 🙂

Amazing scenery and yummy food.

So carefree, so green, so fresh.

Any questions about it, fire away! 🙂

Till next time! x

2014 Birthday haul

Hello there!

Last year I did a birthday post, so I thought this year I would do a birthday haul. 🙂 So much of haul lately. Hehe.

My birthday was about 2 weeks ago now, August 13 to be exact.

I have a couple of things, mostly books.

Both my parents gave me angpau/ red packets. I chose to buy books and kept the rest of the money.

Initially I wanted to get Gayle Forman’s ‘Where She Went’, the sequel to ‘If I Stay’. I enjoyed that book, review here. However, the bookstore has no stock when I went there, so I got some other Gayle Forman books. “Just One Day’ and ‘Just One Year’. I also got another one of Rainbow Rowell’s book, ‘Landline’. Yay!

One of my mum’s friend bought me a book too, ‘The Longest Ride’ by Nicholas Sparks. Another one more of Nicholas Sparks book to put in my collection. Wohooo.

Another one of my mum’s friend bought me a perfume. I loved the packaging, though the cover doesn’t really clip to the bottle, so it drops. But the ombré is really nice. Smells really sweet too. I am not sure of the name or the brand of it, it says Closer, I think it’s from Laurelle.

Lastly, Samantha, got me some cute accessories. A necklace and a ring. I loved it.

Thanks all for the nice gifts and all the birthday wishes to all who wished me. 🙂

The Body Shop mini haul

Happy Saturday!

I went to Body Shop recently and got some stuff.

It’s my birthday last week, so I got a 25% discount off because I am the member of Body Shop. Great time to shop.

Two body butters, one lipliner and one shower gel.

Vineyard peach shower gel. I bought a similar one about 2 years ago and since then I can’t find it. Until, the other day! Omg, I’ve been looking for this for so so long! It smells like peaches, which I absolutely love!

Whooops, the cover is upside down. Anyways, body butters! Japanese Cherry Blossom and Shea Butter body butters. I love their body butters. Technically, the cherry blossom belongs to my mum and the shea butter belongs to my dad, but I get to use it too. Hehehe. Side note, I love the Moringa scent from Body Shop. Soooo amazing!

Lipliner in Mauve berry. I needed a lipliner so with the 25% discount, I decided to get it from here.

It’s a reddish berry colour. I wear a lot of reddish pinkish berry colours, so this can go with those.

A little swatch. 🙂

That’s all that I got for now.

Till next time!

The catastrophic history of you and me review

Today’s book has a rather long title, ‘The Catastrophic History of You and Me’ by Jess Rothenberg. It didn’t take me too long to finish the 375-paged book. I liked it. The book is different.

The book talks about a girl named Brie’s heartbreak with her love of her life, Jacob. Her heart split into half. I was not too sure about the theory of a heart splitting into halves.

When she left the world, she found herself in a pizza place. A place where everyone just eats pizza all day everyday.

Then she met Patrick in the pizza place. Throughout the story, Patrick helped her adapt to the new afterlife.

During that time, Brie found out that Jacob was really not who he is. Her best friend was keeping Jacob’s secret. Jacob was actually gay. Brie messed him up before finding out the real reason why he broke up with her. She felt so bad for making him lose his chance to Princeton. Something worst could have happened. Leaving some suspense here. 😉 After she finds out about the truth, she left it behind her.

In the new afterlife, she met her friend, Larkin Ramsey who died because of a fire. In which later in the story, the ‘fire’ was actually caused by Larkin herself. They used to be best friends. Brie almost got tricked into Larkin’s trap. Patrick protecting Brie from Larkin’s trap was so cute. That I will not talk too much about.

Brie also discovered that her dad was having an affair with their neighbour. That made her hate her dad so much. Brie was always thinking of her family besides of her ex-boyfriend and best friends. Her dad was also a heart surgeon. He could not face the fact that his daughter died of a heartbreak. He will stay in the hospital day and night to try to solve the mystery, and not return home. Brie was really upset when she saw that. Her family was not the family it used to be.

While she was back home, their dog, Hamloaf was the only one that could see her. He followed her around for a few days until it finally had to go home.

Throughout the journey of finding the truth and accepting that she is D&G (dead and gone), Brie turns out to be Patrick’s one true love from another life. He waited for her, all this while. Finally reunited after death.

I loved the ending. Everything went back to normal. They all have peace. Brie and Patrick can finally let go of their past and move on. Brie’s dad is back home with the family.

I love how all the chapters of the book are song titles. There’s a glossary of all the songs at the end of the book. I also liked the Disney princess references. The amount of cheese nicknames Patrick gave Brie was so cute.

It’s a good read.

Till next time! x

Craft haul

Hello. I went to Daiso yesterday and I bought some cute things. It’s not necessary in life but it does make things nicer and cuter. Also, it’s only RM5, so you know. I call this a craft haul because there are so much tape and it’s very crafty. Haha.

Ps. I’ve mentioned Daiso a lot on my blog, I’m not sponsored by them. I just really really like their stuff.

Here is everything! I wanted to get so much more fancy decorative tape but I decided to try them out first.

Pink and white polka dot wrapping paper. I needed this to wrap a gift. The colour and design is so sweet. I immediately used it after I came home. I was so excited. Haha.

Tapes! My mum actually spotted the lace tape, the colour is so sweet. I wanted to try out what these tape are like. The lace is actually taped by a double sided tape, so you just need to peel off the adhesive part and stick it anywhereeeee! The colourful chevron masking tape is just so cute. Though, it is not the stickiest of tapes, it just looks really nice. Remember it’s decorative tape, it’s not a regular sticky tape. It doesn’t have a lot of hold to it. I did use this to wrap that gift I mentioned earlier.

Here is what they look like. I am not really sure what I’m going to do with the lace tapes.

Looking at the chevron tape, there are actually a lot of product. I mean, there are a lot of rounds compared to the lace tapes.

More tapes! This tape set looks really convenient. There are 4 metallic tape in this and you just turn it to whichever colour you want and dispense it. It comes with a dispenser too!

Silver, red, gold, and blue.

Containers that stack up. I used these to organise my drawers. I like how it is stackable.

I also got a USB cable because I needed one and this works pretty well.

I got a basket box thingy, it’s just to put all the messy things on my study table.

That’s all I got from Daiso. It had been an exciting trip to Daiso. So much cute stuffs!

Till next time! x

Book Blogging Tag

Hello! I was tagged by Mina to do the Book Blogging Tag. Here it is! 🙂

1. What are your top three book pet peeves?
Unwrapped books. I have to wrap them, either matte or clear plastic. I can’t read books that have too small writings, I used to read them in no matter small or big writing, but recently whenever I read books with small writing, I stop halfway because it got really tiring. Lastly, Books with different sizes, for the series ones. I’ve a whole House of Night series and not all of them are the same size because it’s hard to find. Now some of the books are a different size and when I put it at the shelf, it looks odd. Maybe it’s just me.

2.Describe Your Perfect Reading Spot.
Lying down on my bed or sitting on the sofa, maybe with some green tea.

3. Tell Us Three Book Confessions.
Out of all the books I have, I have not read everything. There are actually quite a number of books that I have not read. I have a tendency to start a new book without finishing the current book. Then when I want to read the book I’ve not finish, I’ll have to restart. Haha. As much as I love love love the Harry Potter movies, I did not read the books.

4. When Was The Last Time You Cried During A Book.
I can’t remember really.

5. How Many Books are on Your Bedside Table.
4 books. Two of it I am reviewing. 😉 and the other two is the books which are, Love letters to the dead by Ava Dellaira and Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Leuthan, I want to read them after I finish the current book that I am reading, Attachments by Rainbow Rowell.

6. What is Your Favourite Snack While You’re Reading?
Hmm, biscuits or a piece of cake if I’m at a café. If I’m at home, probably just green tea or flavoured tea.

7. Name Three Books/Series That You Would Recommend to Anyone!
This question is really hard. My all time favourite book is by Cecelia Ahern, Where Rainbows End. I love that book so much, it’s crazy. The second one would be Sophie Kinsella’s Remember Me. And thirdly, it’ll be The time traveller’s wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I even loved the movie.

8. Show us a Picture of Your Favourite Bookshelf on Your Bookcase.

Favourite bookshelf, here’s a polaroid of part of my bookshelf. It’s a pretty blur photo. In this particular cubicle, there are a mix of classic books, little black dress series, and also Nicholas Sparks books. I’m planning to do a book collection, so you’ll be able to see all of the books! 😀

9. Write How Much Books Mean to You in Just Three Words.
Not just entertainment.

10. What is Your Biggest Reading Secret?
Reading secret. If I really enjoy a book, I can read it really quick. If I don’t really enjoy the book, which usually happen at the beginning of the story, it’ll take me a while. Sometimes, I might even have to reread it to actually understand.

That’s all for today, thanks for tagging me Mina. 🙂

Till next time! x
